In this blog post you will find inspiration and instructions on how to make your own earrings with various semi-precious stones and pendants. The article wants to inspire especially those of you who already are familiar with the basic techniques, like how to make a loop over a bead.
You can create colourful earrings with several rows of different kinds of gemstone beads and cubic zirkonia or you can keep them more simple and monochrome. We have just received new supplies of small pendants ... faceted coins and cubic zirkonia in gold-plated settings.
These earrings are a mini version of the larger Bohemian earrings we presented in an earlier blog post. So now you can take out all your tiny beads and pendants and design your own version of these popular earrings.
All our examples are made with gold-plated sterling silver components, but the components are also available in a sterling silver version. Please click on the links below or contact us if you you have questions.
Where does bohemian jewelry come from?
Bohemian jewelry, also known as bohemian style or boho style, has its roots in the bohemian movement that emerged in 19th century France. Originally, the bohemian style was associated with artists, writers and free spirits who rejected conventional norms and expressed themselves through a non-conformist lifestyle and fashion.
The history of bohemian jewelry spans time and cultures. It is often inspired by ethnic patterns, colorful folklore, and handmade techniques from different parts of the world. Bohemian jewelry usually combines different elements such as freshwater pearls, tassels, quartz and other gemstones, wood, pendants and charms, feathers and a host of other natural materials. The style is characterized by a relaxed yet artistic approach to accessorizing that often gives a unique and personal touch to those who wear it.
The bohemian style has evolved over decades and remains popular today, not only as a fashion statement, but also as a way to express individuality, creativity and a spirit of adventure.
So get in touch with your own bohemianism below and create jewelry uniquely connected to you and your personality!
