Pearl thread and beading thread
Silk and nylon beading thread for jewellery making
Silk beading thread is particularly suitable for freshwater pearl necklaces. Silk beading thread gives your freshwater pearl necklace a soft and natural drape that makes it comfortable to wear. If you want to make classic pearl necklaces with knots between the pearls, use silk thread size 0.6 to 0.7 mm. The silk bead wire in the smaller sizes from 0,45 to 0,7 can also be used for other smaller types of beads, for example seed beads but for large beads or stone beads it is recommended to use pearl wire / Tiger tail wire or alternatively pearl silk in thickness 0,7-0,8 mm
Miyuki nylon beading thread is mainly used for bead weaving or bead sewing with smaller beads and is not suitable for making necklaces as the thread in size B is only 0.25 mm thick and therefore too thin.
Fireline is an extra strong and malleable nylon thread with a good hold, suitable for example for beadwork where the piece needs to keep its shape, resembling horsehair.
